An anti-nuke that contains, not bans
Instead of kicking, Rainbow strips the roles carrying dangerous permissions (administrator, manage channels, roles, webhooks…) then applies a timeout: a timeout alone removes no permissions · stripping the roles is what actually cuts off the power to do harm. Removed roles are listed in the log · a moderator can restore them, and the member stays on the server.
Raids and alt accounts caught on arrival
Every join is checked against your server’s blacklist, then run through alt detection (account creation date, avatar, name similarity). Join waves are measured against your thresholds and handled as one batch, with a full report in your moderation channel.
A human always has the final say
Kick and ban require human validation: a central policy downgrades every automatic kick or ban to a timeout, and if you configured a ban for the anti-nuke, the bot recommends it in the log instead of executing it. The real containment status (contained, partial, failed) is always reported · never a false “threat neutralized”.
